Parents around the world want what’s best for their child, and if you aren’t satisfied with your current school, you may be wondering whether it’s time to look for a new one. Let’s face it, moving school is a big deal, and will cause some degree of disruption, but ultimately, it’s better than facing years at a bad school. There are a number of signs that might indicate it’s time for your child to switch to somewhere new.

  1. Your child doesn’t seem to fit in

If your child has been at the school for a while, has tried to fit in, but just doesn’t feel like they’re in the right place, then a school change might be on the cards. Sometimes, a certain school just isn’t the right place for a certain child, so they may be happier and thrive in a different environment. Talk to your child and find out if this is a path they’d like to take.

  1. You want them to get a better standard of education

A lot of parents have strong opinions on their child’s education, and often know if they aren’t getting the best teaching around. If you aren’t satisfied with your child’s current school, it’s worth looking for a new international school Bangkok, as this will give your child a much better standard of education. International schools can be an excellent choice for your child, as they give you the advantages of a private school, with lots of extras that your child will love.

  1. There aren’t enough activities or outside interests

School isn’t just about the lessons. A good school should offer your child things like:

  • Extra tuition and support
  • A wide range of sports
  • Residential trips and activities outside the classroom
  • Multiple options for studying at a higher level

Your child needs to have an all-round experience at school, so if there isn’t enough on offer outside of school hours, it may be time for a change.

  1. Your child isn’t challenged enough

School should be challenging to your child, as this will give them confidence. If your child is bored at their current school and not being challenged enough, it may be time to look at moving them. This can give them a whole new challenge and make them happier.

The right school is important to a child’s education, so if they aren’t happy at their current on, it may be time to look around and see what else is out there.
